One of the first seminars I ever delivered was at the 2002 Canadian Personal Trainers Network (CPTN) Conference at Ryerson University in Toronto. Titled Strength Training Parameters and Program Design, the lecture was a great success. Many trainers approached me afterward for consultations and eagerly attended my upcoming workshops. The CPTN even invited me back for several more presentations based on the outstanding feedback.
That one-page outline I handed out at the seminar? It eventually became The Elite Trainer, a 201-page book endorsed by industry experts like Joe DeFranco, Alwyn Cosgrove, Chad Waterbury, Dr. Eric Serrano, and several others.
Needless to say, the seminar was a hit! I’ve delivered it many times over the years, refining it each time to make it even better.
What Makes This Seminar Special?
In two words: practical information. This isn’t just theory—it’s real-world application that works for everyday clients, not just elite athletes. Too many seminars are either too basic or too advanced. I break down the science of strength training in a way that’s easy to understand and show how it applies to beginners, intermediates, and advanced trainees alike. It’s a perfect blend of the art and science of strength training—information you can actually use with your clients.

Now Available as an Online Webinar!
I recently presented this lecture at the 2012 Ontario Kinesiology Association (OKA) Conference, and many attendees asked how they could access the material afterward. The truth is, with my business and family commitments, in-person seminars have become difficult to schedule. But thanks to the internet, I can now share this knowledge with trainers worldwide!
Now you can experience my Strength Training Parameters and Program Design seminar on-demand from the comfort of your home. The webinar is divided into eight video segments (each roughly 15 minutes long), and you’ll get an 82-slide PDF to follow along with. You’ll also gain access to a 300+ reference list and a detailed training log to use with your clients.
Don’t miss this opportunity to upgrade your knowledge and take your training programs to the next level!
