Eat Your Whey to Greater Gains in the Gym

Whey protein is a great option after a workout, but you don’t need to have a shake. You can eat it!

Ricotta cheese is very high in whey protein. I’m sure you’ve heard of curds and whey. Well, consider cottage cheese as the curds and ricotta cheese as the whey.

Growing up we use to have ricotta all the time with sugar. You couldn’t beat the taste, especially when that ricotta was fresh.

Obviously, we all know that sugar is not the best thing for your health or your figure. A great substitute is the amino acid glycine. Glycine is naturally sweet and will lower both cortisol and adrenaline, so it’s great to take right after a workout.

Bottom Line: Sprinkle a teaspoon of glycine and some organic berries on ricotta cheese for a great post-workout meal.
