Full Squats with Chains

Different strokes for different folks—I prefer high-bar, ass-to-grass squats. If you’re not accustomed to full squats, using chains can help by reducing the load at the bottom of the movement where you’re weakest.

In this video, I’m performing full squats with 185 pounds on the bar and 140 pounds of chains. At the bottom, about half the chain weight is deloaded onto the floor, so the total resistance drops from 325 pounds at the top to approximately 255 pounds at the bottom.
