Let’s be honest—most of us enjoy a good slice of pizza every now and then. But what we don’t enjoy is the sluggish, bloated feeling that often follows after indulging in all those carbs.
If you’re looking for a delicious low-carb alternative, give this “meatza” recipe a try. It satisfies that pizza craving without the crash!
🍕 Meatza Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 package ground chicken or turkey
- 1 egg
- 1 small handful of grated mozzarella cheese
Spices (add to taste):
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Oregano
- Salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients using a fork until fully blended.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Transfer the meat mixture onto the sheet and press it down with a fork. Aim for an even, thin layer—just be careful not to make any holes.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool for around 10 minutes.
- Add your favorite toppings. I used pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and black olives.
- Turn the oven up to 400°F (205°C) and return the meatza to the oven until the cheese is melted and everything is heated through.
